IMTAC - a collaboration between international universities and music therapyproviders

International Music Therapy Assessment Consortium (IMTAC) exists to develop, standardize and increase the implementation of assessment in music therapy. Our vision is to strengthen the field of music therapy by championing best practice examples of assessment tools. This raises the quality and ethics of clinical practice, and further strengthens interdisciplinary collaboration. IMTAC is committed to provide clear and transparent information about assessments in music therapy sessions to clients, their families and professional colleagues.

The IMTAC consortium is a collaboration between international universities and therapy providers, which is coordinated on a rolling 5-year period. Currently IMTAC is coordinated by Aalborg University.
